The Silent Cry

Do you remember how a part of me would change in the summer? Under the covers, I would cry because my mind would wander Looking back wow, it foreshadowed everything I would become now Now that I'm older, you expect me to just brush it off my shoulders You're having a bad day; just shake it off Just need more rest; nothing's really wrong But I can't shake this No sleep can erase it There's a weight in my chest that won't go away A drama queen at her full extent She's feeling fatigued is all she meant Why can't you hear me?
