Famous people out doing their famous shit And I'm just at home trying to ignore it But it's hard when you see such exquisite dress Makes me think to myself "I wish they and I..." "I wish we could be friends" Relax and kick it back at their lavish digs Exactly how I pictured We'd laugh and all enjoy it So, it's hard knowing how it hasn't come to pass Makes me think to myself I know they and I I know we could be friends I know I'm not in the movies Or even fit for TV But, if they just get to know me For, say, a month, or maybe three Because it takes a little time 'til I get comfortable And open up enough for them to find That they and I I bet we could be friends Imagine all the autographs I'd have to give Just from fans mistaken my fame for who I'm with Oh, and it's hard to understand why this doesn't exist Makes me think to myself Why?
