I Miss My Friends

I shaved my moustache the last time I did it It's got quite long now it's got quite long And I when I think about it this is the happiest I've been for a long time now a long It feels like a battle that I'm losing Take on mother nature get kicked in the balls And all of this ball bruising Has me as the cause How long will it take for me to realise I love my friends I sit at my guitar and try singing Spit out a word that means something soppy But I can't help but hearing Anything but the sound of a copy And try and find the meaning In the metaphors I read off my phone But what I read is nothing How can I feel it when no one is home How long will it take me to realise I miss my friends Friends I miss my friends Friends I miss my friends Take the brush to the canvas Try and make it look like them but I can't do them justice Just colours pretending To smile at me but blank is All I get from them But all isn't hopeless Maybe they'll come back and then I will have finally realised I miss my friends Friends I miss my friends Friends I miss my friends
