Do you remember our days together? You always seemed alone Should I have made more of an effort? Should I have been kinder? Should I have tried harder? Perhaps, I'm reminiscing right now Ghosts of the past long forgotten On the breezy beach Ocean waves slamming ashore Only memories remain Soft touch, occasional kiss, fresh scents, and music permeating the air I don't remember exactly what we played But somehow, I always hear Winter from Vivaldi's Le Quattro Stagioni The road ahead is empty And filled with perils Of loneliness and emptiness The long road ahead The lonely road ahead The long journey awaits
