I'm Not Sorry

It's my last day alive And I spent it trying to make up my mind Who do I visit, what's on my list Before I go kick it goodbye It's my final day on this earth And I think what I'd love most in this world Is to call all my bosses, tell them that I'll be Unbelievably tardy for work I'm not sorry You make me feel like a copy Your small power I hope you enjoy it for now One of my regrets is letting you change me so bad Step on my conscience and take me home to bed But I'm tired of being so mad All of my best I don't know where to begin Gotta do some real good before it ends Blow up the banks, try it again Start over everything You know it won't do any service Keeping it all held in It took a mortgage to realize I wanted Something much stronger than this I'm still laughing I've got to imagine you're happy Our short hour God willing we're learning how And I've got so many to confess to or thank For every lie that helped me along the way And I've learned so much but I don't know the half I stayed in bed, watched the whole day pass But I'm dizzy from spinning so fast Guess I have one more day left
