The Corner

I've walked the streets for some time now Thinking of the good times that we had - around the corner We were so young and foolish Didn't think of anyone but ourselves - but we had some fun And the corner still remain, in my mind But the people are not the same On this street I had my first cigarette I almost fainted from the nicotine - but it felt good Do you remember when we ran for our lives? I was so scared I almost cried - but we survived And the street it is still there, in my mind But the people are not the same I miss you my old friend, I hope I'll see you once more But the times have changed and we've come to far to ruin it all again I hope that you are well, I bet you have some stories to tell From the corner This town has been my home This town is all I ever known - not anymore This town is growing so fast Sometimes I wonder if it will last - I live in the past And the corner still remain, in my mind And you people are all to blame
