What am I doing? I don't understand the things I do I keep on coming back To all of the things that I hate What is this madness? When the things I want I will not do! I fear I am no longer in control But the sin that dwells in me So I find, I am slowly Waging! War! Against my mind A prison, the law of sin Oh, Wretched! Man! That I am I know that nothing good No, nothing good Dwells within me So in my weakness I am not content with the peace He gives me Tell me why is it that the good I want I will not do? why can I never seem to take control of the sin that dwells in me So I find, I am slowly Waging! From this body of death Thanks be to God for Conviction not Condemnation I am set free So I find, I am slowly Waging! War! Against my mind A prison the law of sin Oh, Wretched! Man! That I am A mind set on the flesh is death But a mind set on the spirit will bring life & peace A hostile mind does not subject itself to God But if you are within The spirit of Christ you will find eternal life Do not be afraid though this earth shall quake His Spirit dwells in you
