Make My Bed

I wasn't born to be a home maker My mama did But I ain't her And life just seems to throw these things my way But I can't seem to make sense of today Can you do this, can you do that? Wash the laundry, make a bed Didn't I just do this yesterday? Dinner's made, the tables set Makes me wanna make a bet Dirty dishes be'd there if I forget I'm hanging on by just a thread Wish someone would make my bed Wish someone would make my bed Just stepped on a lego, Wishing that I could let go Of the dreams that once ran through my mind Years went by, so fast they did Not sure what day it is But I smile, pick up the kids And be kind When they say Can you you do this, can you do that?
