In just a blink of an eye Nothing was as it used to be, As people had known it, as they’d been used to it It was different, surreal, incredible, void. Humanity remembered that the world used to be different – memories, experiences and events being passed on and on, to transcend and outlive generations, epochs and ages. As long as we were constantly reminded, as long as we felt, appreciated, revered and had to arrange ourselves with how things were, we remembered. I speak of water, sand, stone, wind, life. Our earth – our world. The source of all life. What we see, hear, feel – light and dark, thunder and silence, happiness and pain. The latter determines us, defines and misguides us…Pain, greed, unspeakable hate and fear. We are blinded by fear – fear of someone or something set out to destroy us. But the ones we should fear the most – are ourselves. We are the ones to be held responsible for all of this – and we keep asking ourselves the same questions, over and over. But do we admit to our fault? Do we just go on? Are we deluding ourselves into thinking that everything will be alright? Do we just not care about what’s to come, or what has been? For we came, and took, and kept taking. Until there was nothing left to take – and we never gave anything back. We hate, we murder, we exterminate, and we learn nothing…from all that we’ve done to the earth. We deny humanity’s involvement in this disaster. We refuse to listen to Earth’s desperate cries directed at us. We look away from what was…and what will be. We know the solution….but it’s too late now.
