I've borrowed someone else’s skin But the ribcage is pinching me too tight My eyes are simply looking So I asked the heart what might I find Bodies drifting in the sea next to busy self made men waiting for cabs Following a grotesque path A carelessly tied dotted line Pushing aside branches Trying to find straight ways In this twisted cloud And behind the fences Wash my head in rivers When cars become too loud Running away from the heat In weightlessness I feel our pulse is right From crowded bar to empty street Conversations that will go on all night Friends around a table stupid jokes and five empty bottles of wine I end up dancing to the music and every move feels like I’ve won a fight Pushing aside branches Trying to find right angles In this twisted cloud And behind the fences Wash my head in rivers when the noise becomes too loud
