I Only Need Myself

I spent lots of time on my drawings but I Saw them get ruined in the blink of an eye Why does everything I ever do Have to get ruined some way or another? I bet this will get ruined somehow I bet this will get ruined somehow I bet this will get ruined somehow I wish I could be able to create Without them bein' destroyed Why does everything I ever make Turn into something everyone hates? Is it too much to ask To have a creative outlet? I just want to express myself I'm not happy with what I get Sometimes I feel like the world is against me But I won't turn away I will never give up my talent I won't let it get its way In the face of destruction I turn to creation My thoughts will flow My thoughts will flow My thoughts will flow I will be able to create They won't be destroyed Everything I ever make Will be something nobody hates I don't have to ask To have a creative outlet I get to express myself I'm happy with what I get I don't need constant approval I only need myself Done Oh, that was it?
