When you like someone You're often grateful for the times you're all alone Thanking God your thoughts are all you've Dreaming of all the good times you could have if only she was around Thinking of all the places you could together go; the mall, playground When you like someone Even when your hands are full, you just can't stop starring at her pictures; a handful you've been keeping for a while Wondering how much time the Creator of the Heavenly Beings spent working on her amazing smile Trying to figure out what it really took Him to come up with such unique style I mean actually appreciating that He must have sighed when He finished, like: "finally!" When you like someone The once in a blue moon, rare memories you made together is the treasure you keep secure Like drugs, keeping it out of reach of children; careless people, there to simply help you lose it Like heavenly riches, storing it deep inside your heart, where neither moths nor rust can destroy it Knowing that, in the meantime, that's the closest you can ever get to her; I know you get it When you like someone You often wonder whether or not she continuously thinks about you, all day Wondering whether or not the best option would be asking her out without delay I mean, whether or not staying even closer would make it easier to ask her out someday Thoughts of rejection always there to keep you sober though, regret being a friend we all want to stay away You at times wonder what it would feel like to go out with her What it would feel like to have her sit at the round table while you order a square meal I mean what it would feel like to sit at a table for two, waiting for her to order one and pay the bill What it would feel like to sit with your eyes facing each other and watch her chew I mean what it would feel like to spend time with her, when it's just the two of you You at times wonder what it would feel like to go out with her I mean what it would feel like to take a walk with her To have her tell you to be extra careful, mindful of the passing cars Have her hold your hand as you walk across the road, a feeling that can never be ignored Have her be around and make you feel loved, valued and adored You wonder what life would be like if you were to spend the rest of your days with her I mean, how fun and exciting your life would be if she came in to stay Wondering how the future would unfold in your favor if you simply had her Thinking of all the battles you would fight courageously knowing you've her as an ally All the achievements you would have in this highly competitive world with her When you like someone You at times pray, believing God tells you she ain't the one for you Knowing the contrary would be news too good to be believed; here's a clue Especially when you know you'll still have to wait for a while Fear convincing you she ain't willing to wait any longer; she ain't willing to walk alone for another mile When you like someone All you do is wish she feels likewise about you Believing she desires to have you and you alone around her too Always praying, hoping for the very best Asking God to strengthen you if this is only but a test You can for a while fake it, but when you really like someone, it's hard to take her off your mind
