Farther Towards the Void

So she'd say "It's okay, We can end it as friends" Her words burned In my chest. My heartbeat was laid to rest. How many times did you say you love me? How many times did I believe you? So many times. Too many times. So many times. Too many times. So many times. Too many times. So many times. Too many times. How many days did you pretend that you believe in me? Abysmally, I despise this look in her cold, blue eyes. I told her: "Let it be, in my eyes, you're dead to me". And as tears well up in her eyes, I turn around with no goodbye. I run until my aching heart leaves a trace of steaming blood. This road, and not another one, is the road I should go on. A life just without space for her, in that, I'll be myself for sure. I won't think back to our past. So I walk on, how long it may last. I'm drifting farther towards the void. I miss her smile, I miss her eyes, I miss her lips, I miss her face. But it's done. we go on in different ways. It's hard for me to smile these days. Bitter tears run down my face.
