The Journey Starts (Intro)

So what's the Scenic Route Yea Too many people think they know me Might've seen me once or twice but never homies Swear it's the truth this is just my testimony Never planned to have some crazy ceremony But this the life I chose or did it it choose me Since a kid I always knew that low key I was destined for greatness but had my eyes sealed Or should I say shut should've kept my eyes peeled Snakes sitting laying right up next to you And the people fake chilling say what's best for you Slowing the process tryna stop you from becoming you Never want you to be better so they blocking you Guess it's my own fault I let them make my own decisions Looking back I would never take a new revision I wear it on my chest it's something like a new religion Made me who I am I'm destined for a new collision And if the end coming lord please forgive my soul Know you put me for a purpose feel it in my bones But if I strayed from the path how could I ever known All the time felt I always did it on my own Whether your lessons or your blessings My father who art up in heaven You sent your son to many reverends But never ever did he listen Made me always wanna question Even if it means I'm second guessing Can't be living life full of regrets and Can't be living life without progression So I'm moving on a fast track Never turning back Tryna get my life intact Chasing dreams know I'll never get to take it back All the time lost relive it like a flashback I need a Kodak Cuz my memory escapes from me Hoping you know that I won't rest I need what's best for me And so I'm working on that right now Know I'll make it where I'm destined somehow It's like for as long as I can remember this is what I've wanted to do When I was younger I used to just read lyric pages all day And try to memorize every line of every song I liked Everywhere I went you could hear me rapping like 50 or like Em And people would always tell me like yo you love it so much You should just be a rapper not knowing that's already what I had in my mind But as I got older 50 and Em turned into Gucci and Flame And honestly the game got so commercial & gimmicky that I wasn't even sure anymore
