Well it's always the nights that get me down I find myself out hangin' around with some buddies singin' our songs Well I don't know why but it seems like I make my best friends when I'm barely gettin' by and we're lettin' it all out with every breath Smokin' cigarettes Yeah we're smokin' cigarettes Well I was wandering around the other night Stopped in a bar to grab a bite and a beer Before I went home I stepped outside to have a smoke And I walked on over to some other folks We talked about life and laughed at the way we met Smokin' cigarettes Yeah we're smokin' cigarettes When you're lost and at your end You find your cigarette friends And when cannot lie no more That's what cigarette friends are for I'm sorry mama but I do it sometimes I ain't too proud of the way I hide it from you But now I'm gettin' it off my chest I've been smokin' cigarettes
