Growing Up

We used to run in the park But now we work until it's dark We used to not even care How we looked and if people stared Because it's one step forward And two steps back Three learned lessons And four learned facts A constant reminder That we're still growing up I hope we're growing right Guess we'll know in time Life has a mind of its own It seems to take us where we never thought we'd go Time seems to never slow down Always ticking and always around I used to be so sure We had it all figured out Life used to be simple When we lived with no doubt Now that we're older We found out You might stop growing You might stop growing You might stop growing But you never stop growing
