Wildfire

Standing in a field of dead sunflowers, with an ominous sky of dark clouds that tower up to the heavens above,  as the rain began to fall.  I closed my eyes and I thought of my baby, way back up north,  hope she's still waiting for me.  All I know, is my tired bones will break before they fall.  No, I've never been wise,  I'm still learning.  Something inside,  Keeps on buying like wildfire. Wildfire. No, I never give up,  but I've given in.  Lost myself out in the wind like, wildfire.  Wildfire.  Out there in the rain, there was something in the distance.  Calling out my name, I heard but didn't listen.  An evanescent light broke through the clouds, it said""fight for what you love."" I'm going back, back to see my baby. Buying her a ring with the money I've been saving.  These tired bones of mine, they're going to break, and fall upon their knees.  No, I've never been wise,  I'm still learning.  Something inside,  Keeps on buying like wildfire.
