This was never how I imagined it Coming to the end of the line Waiting for the silence to fold us in As we're falling into the sky The walls that kept us safely surrounded So fragile as they were torn apart The angels and the demons inside their cage 'Til heaven set them loose on the stars And I tried believing it was all the same But the love you lived and the plans I made Were as far from even as they'd ever be As we drifted outward to infinity So I prayed to no one as I fell towards home That beyond the chaos there's a final hope Caught in the kaleidoscope
