Red weather lit my dreams last night Woke me up before the dawn New love came and shook my heart Tore down its bitter walls Out of the storm a world emerges part by part A cloud bank explodes with sunrise Far from the desolate drag of a life Tied to a desk in a dwindling light The sky is aglow, the zephyr wind blows In the ocean of my mind I am sailing To that paradise, a pipers call, a map of stars Illuminate a subtle path Shade by shade the sky breaks open Movement starts, old stagnant forms Are eroding, and even a silence settles again The air still shakes with the first words of day Ribbons of light golden in flight The fresh air of a world renewed Strange words sung to a curious tune Echo through the waking streets As new love casts its light on me
