Shadows Can't Write Stories

It's been a little painful I thought you were my angel And you won't even tell me you've been lying to my face but you told me you were hateful But you struck a bunch of nerve cells You cast me like a witch I'm under your spells I'm battling my demons I've been reading all the books, I'm tryna think of what the lord tells You won't even tell me If i'm drowning in the fire, would you help me? You say i'm kind of overwhelming But the tone in your voice, condescending And it's been a bit depressing They tell you, you should try to count your blessing But the music is expressing All the thoughts and all the feelings I'm repressing But we all know how the story goes Time slows But I wear all the same clothes I'm froze, but my smile always shows Dead rose on graves that no one knows I know i'm not the one you chose You left me here to decompose But is this how the story goes? I lost my highs I found my lows Were you ever gonna tell me where you hid it? I kind of figured you were dumping all your feelings I know you miss me but you never could admit it You could never keep your feelings hidden And I'll be staying here until the rain goes You can join me but you're missing all the rainbows I'm just trying to think of how the tale goes I'm the writer of my story, not the shadows
