How could a good God even allow This pain and sorrow all around Isn't He loving, doesn't He know Isn't He powerful enough To make it no more God desires true love and true love requires Man to be free, but freedom allows Man to obey or even rebel Its each of us making earth a living hell God could eliminate it all Wipe us away But its in His love He patiently delays Repent from evil Turn and live Don't blame Him for our doing But the redemption is His God took up our nature Lived a holy life to the end Redeeming our suffering Giving all one could give Cast your burdens upon Him, turn and live How could a good God love a wretch like me Be willing to forgive every wicked deed I struggle to comprehend this love of His God could eliminate it all Wipe us away But its in His love He patiently delays Repent from evil Turn and live Don't blame Him for our doing But the redemption is His
