The Strip

As I look out to the city The lights that flicker burn away And everyone that lost somebody Is backed up on the interstate As I walk out in the night time I cross the bridge and fade to white The strip is wide, can't walk on down it Your CDs you can't make me buy I may be happy I may be smiling But there is something missing I want to try Yet I don't know if I Could feel a single feeling I close my eyes and wash on down the Smell of smoke that fills my head I've kept my headphones playing music Yet I'm putting them around my neck Somebody wants a picture of them I take their phone and give it back I've gone away into the darkness I wish that I could only laugh I may be happy I may be smiling But there is something missing I want to try Yet I don't know if I Could feel a single feeling
