Are you stealing pills again? How did it happen? When did it start? What are you so afraid of? Feeling normal shouldn't feel so hard Wouldn't you rather stay up late? Watch a movie, I've been meaning to ask you on a date And you say something philosophical Like were we ever even here at all? This isn't healthy this isn't good For you or me Couldn't you stop for anything? It doesn't have to be me I remember what it was like before You'd come home 10 minutes late and I'm fretting at the backdoor And you'd laugh ha ha ha ha ha I hated that laugh But I know I was being ridiculous Your arms wrapped around my thighs Wake up holding hands in the middle of the night And you'd say something philosophical If you know how you're going to die Will you know that you were right?
