Through Heaven's Hell

They bought the bill that they were sold Instead of growing bold and wise They think they're growing old Your feeble grip has lost its hold If you keep your fire burning bright The winter ain't so cold Looks like you've found the best of me Now I've born witness to your love And I can barely breathe Beauty and wealth I'd never seen Creation right before my eyes Where it's always been Back through their world now I must go The gravitation of their thoughts No longer takes its toll Strength in my mind and body swole Though physically unrecognized I've gained a stronger soul I walked straight through Heaven's Hell Before the gateway of my mind Their gilded prisons fell I'm sure it's hard to tell But in this field of burning bodies I have learned to love the smell
