The Struggle of Perspective

It's been a struggle to keep it all in perspective So mind boggling how it all came down to this I'm so mesmerized by the grains of sand that fill our minds It becomes too heavy as the years go by Been so eluded by those empty boxes that crowd my space There is no answer for the problems we all face Just to persevere and try to keep a steady pace And everything is fleeting, our fortune usually is Just don't kid yourself it's a grim future we ll embrace Yet there's so much to look forward to In Family and true friendship we find our drive With little things that we combine Some things are meant to stay hidden Our disillusion sometimes gets the best of us But we persevere and keep a state of grace Soldiering on through life and it's ugly face Bring back those days of oblivion Bring back how we used to be Bring it back, care free Bring back the times of oblivion
