I met a man out in the desert Next to crumbled stone hands Of a statue that had weathered What I guessed to be millennia Just to end up in the sand He said my name is Ozzy I was a king on that throne I spent my time in luxury Chasing gold and building homes Just to end up on my own He said the world is good for wandering But don't you dare do it alone He said there's rich rewards for following But you can't make it on your own He told me all about his treasures And how they slipped from his hands He took me over to a river Where the ruins of his castle stand A fractured memory of a man And as we reached the banks I remembered who I once was I through my worries to the wayside Learning stories from an ancient one One who's time had come and gone He said a city's good for squandering What you're given in a rush He said there's only room for wandering If you keep your human touch
