Got the serious look just like y'all got That serious, intense look 'Cause he tryna find his way, he tryna figure it out It's frustratin' I'm tryna listen to God, I got my own flesh and my Pullin' me here, my own desire My family, my friends all these things is distractin' me from this truth And it's difficult to give in 'Specially when you're young, man But if you can go through it you'll come out like gold, if I can go through the fire But He said, "If you wait 'til I exalt you" "I'll give you desires of your heart" Everybody done heard, I don't know where they goin' But when they get there, ooh, they gon' be sorry The faster you try to get there, that career, that money And you gon' figure out that, man, it was the journey It was not the destination
