03 Rise from the Shadows

In the shadows, I found my light Years of struggle, a fierce, endless fight With stones and whispers, they tried to confine But the strength within me is purely divine No more chains, no more despair I rise like a phoenix, free from their snare Their voices are fading, losing their hold I'm reclaiming my story, my truth to be bold For years I walked through valleys of doubt Surrounded by faces, but none truly about They offered their wisdom, wrapped in disguise But each word was a dagger, a web of their lies "Change who you are," they'd insist with a sneer While I clung to my dreams, drowning in fear I gave them my trust, poured out my soul But they twisted my heart, they aimed for control They laughed as I stumbled, they cheered at my fall Used my every weakness, my rise was their thrall While I fought for my dreams, it was all in vain Each victory met with their bitter refrain "Without us, you're nothing," their shadows would loop But I knew in my heart, they were sealing my doom I've battled the darkness, the weight of their chains Now I rise from the ashes, breaking these pains They thought they could mold me, bend me to break But I stood like a mountain, unyielding, awake With every denial, I forged a new path The fire inside me ignited their wrath Their attempts to belittle, to cast me aside Only fueled my resolve, my unyielding pride I've weathered their storms, faced their disdain Now I dance in the sunlight, free from their reign Each moment they whispered, "You'll never succeed Just watered the roots of my unyielding seed I've learned to embrace every scar, every bruise For the battles I've fought, I've nothing to lose Now I stand tall, with my heart open wide Their shadows behind me, I'll no longer hide With courage as armor, I'll chase what is true For the dreams I once whispered, I'll finally pursue Awakened and fierce, I'll no longer comply Their voices are fading, like clouds in the sky With strength in my spirit I rise from the pain This journey is mine my joy will remain So here I stand, in the light of my grace No longer defined by their cold, bitter face With love for myself, I'll take on the fight For I've woken at last, and I'm ready for flight
