Downward spiral, here I go, lesson learned, must burn to keep depression gone Madness, had this been prevented, like the stress within, then again, this is just who I am Accepting the very nature of all that came around when, I was, simply living my life Side by side, those who raised me, can't save me, only I can save myself, and when I can't Hold my own, I think of all the happy thoughts that came before, and many more beyond this Current negative door, for all in all, I've been in more than half a dozen different families Before eighteen, and afterwards, raised more than one woman's kids until I had my own When promises get loose, far gone, every family torn apart, so easy to blame myself As if, every moment of failure was all my fault, dealing with manic depression, up down Bipolar disorder, while organizing my life, my kids and my music is truly, the only thing Keeping me going, day after day, night after night, can't sleep, can't wake, only way is Moving closer to the end, can't wait, for more days with my kids and creativity, Until then, here I am, upward climb, beautiful view, where I stand, can you see it all, Much further than here and now, beyond the surface, deeper than the ocean, higher than the clouds, Look unto the stars, to remind ourselves, there's much more beyond us all, so lift yourself And leave a story for us all to know, and when you have kids of your own, Raise them right, so they got something good to tell, the future is ours, Here and now, open your mind and look loud Open your mind and look loud Open your mind and look loud Open your mind and look loud
