I still remember When I succumbed; The labyrinth of thoughts The smothering of emotions From the outside looking in Through the ring of a hangman's noose And high above the clouds Dwell the unnamed secrets Of questions unasked, The boundless immensity of time Prestidigitators Strip the universe Of all its immaculate beauty Dry lives so awash with grey I chose the world below Where my feet stand is where my heart is I broke the shackles of guilt Released myself from the prison of shame A new sun rises in the horizon Radiant dawn, godless eon What is the history of all that ever was If not a series of glorious catastrophes To embrace the misfortunes of destiny Is to embrace one's self And to walk another day in the valleys of memories Is to eliminate the shadows of belief And high above the clouds there is nothing Expanse upon expanse of the purest, the darkest void
