Can you hear me Can you hear me At all Can you hear me Can you hear me At all I'm not sure where to start this And I'm not sure where my heart is Out of all these tracks I know that this is my hardest But I'm here now I might as well sort through the garbage yeah When I was just a little kid You barely took care of me sometimes nobody did It got so bad that Foster Care almost took me away If that had happened I don't think I'd be alive today I still I have some memories that haunt me in my dreams Crying in a cold room Crying for a dark face I see no escape I think It's too late Don't know where I am but I Know that I hate this place These are some dark thoughts I've drug around for many years All the nights of mental fights And days of holding back my tears Abandonments my biggest fear well aside from rejection But I gotta get back on track Before I lose direction Can you hear me Can you Skip up a couple years To when I was 16 We got a call that you were living clean Or so it seemed And then you backslid You'll do this several times And every email that we get we never take to heart When I was 17 I got a letter on my phone Asking how I am and where I was And where my life has gone That's kinda funny huh You wanna talk and see picture of me Be involved and see the man that I've grown up to be If you'd been here at the start You wouldn't even hafta call at all I just don't get it mom Look at where the time has gone But you don't care do you yeah We don't mean a thing to you You're too busy chasing highs Your mind is in a mist The blissful ignorance of a happiness that don't exist I wish I could say I forgive ya but I'd Be lying if I said I feel for ya Yeah Selfishness is something that I've never been a fan of So when I heard you lost two more I didn't join your fan club That's two more kids that will grow up without they're mom angry Thinking I got left by a person That did not wanna have me I wish you were around but that's not how it is I can't control your decisions Or tell you how to live But it just bothers me A weight I can't get off of me I hope one day that you see all the things I have accomplished I hope that maybe it leaves you astonished I did it all myself So go be proud of someone else Yeah Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me Can you hear me At all
