Four Walls

Living with four walls ain't so lonely Echoes have kept me company, Though I once forgot the words that someone told me A man falling, filled with fallacies all through his arteries, is much more than one without scar tissue I hear the birds chirping when I tell them that I miss you So I went ahead and closed all of the windows, I also dimmed all of the lights If you need me, write me letters, And slip them under my doorframe through the night I'll pretend I'm still sleeping to keep things right In the end I have four walls, and every sound of things I hear when no one is around I think the sun keeps coming down, I couldn't tell I think I'm doing well, Though truth is I'm not sure if I've derailed or made my peace with living hell Piece by piece I've seen it fail, And now my living room is feeling stale with picture frames I couldn't sell But I'm staying inside while the world decides to either run or hide This way much less could ever leave, and though you might have some sympathy to give My four walls have much more than you'd believe
