Climb From the Pit

Yo, it's dark down here, ain't no light in sight, Fell deep in the pit, tryin' to fight the night. A prince once proud, now scraped and bruised, Thought the fall was the end, thought I was through. But nah, that's where the story kicks in, I ain't done yet, I gotta get it in. Hands bleedin', body weak from the fall, But a prince don't belong down here at all. Climb from the pit, yeah, I'm grindin', Even when I fall, I keep on climbin'. Ain't no quit, this life is a test, I ain't done till I'm outta this mess. Found a rope hangin' from the top of the cave, Grabbed on tight, I was tryna be brave. But the climb was tough, muscles start to ache, Hands slippin', my soul startin' to break. Still, I pushed, fought through the pain, But for every move up, I'm fallin' down again. Hit the ledge hard, the rage hit harder, How's a prince supposed to climb when it gets darker? I sulked for a minute, kicked rocks around, Thought maybe this pit is where I'm bound. Fear creepin' in, doubt in my mind, But somethin' inside wouldn't let me slide. Gotta try again, even if I fall, Gotta climb slow, can't lose it all. Tied up the rope, felt the strain, But every time I slip, I feel that pain. Then one day, fell further than ever, Thought that's it, man, this pit is forever. Grabbed a rock, cut the rope in rage, Tore it to shreds, put my dreams in a cage. Sat back, thinkin' it's over for me, Maybe I'm just stuck down here, never free. But time passed, that fire came back, I'm still a prince, can't live off track. Picked up the scraps of the rope I broke, Tied 'em together, hopin' for hope. I was searchin' in the dark, wonderin' why, How I'm seein' these scraps in a place this dry? Looked up, saw that flicker of light, Flashlight shinin', cuttin' through the night. Knew who it was holdin' that beam, My Father up top, still holdin' that dream. Didn't scream out, didn't need no sound, Knew He still believed, still held me down. Tears fell, but I kept on tyin', Cause even in the dark, I'm still survivin'. Looked to the next piece, the rope's still there, I ain't givin' up, not while He cares. Climb from the pit, I'm gon' make it through, 'Cause the light at the top is callin' me too.
