Stronger Than Fire

Back in the day down in the hood There was this old head Big Ron always doin' good. He was the wise one everybody knew Always kept it straight always stayed true. One time some girls who'd been through hell Got rescued brought to Big Ron's hotel. They locked 'em up in the attic high Took the stairs away so no dudes would try. But one of those girls? Man she was fine Caught Big Ron's eye had him crossin' the line. He grabbed that heavy ladder all by himself Climbed halfway up then checked his wealth. Paused caught his breath then yelled real loud "There's a fire in here!" brought out the crowd. Sometimes the heat's too strong to ignore But it's how you fight that shows you more. Big Ron faced the fire didn't let it win Stronger than the flames burnin' within. His homies came runnin' saw the scene They said "Ron what's up? Man you're too clean! You're the one we look to how you slip like this?" But Ron was real didn't hide or dismiss. He said "Yo it's better y'all see me fall here Than mess up later where it's worse my dear. I'm just flesh yeah but I got that strength I'm fightin' now no matter the length." Ron pushed back that fire turned wild But he stood strong faced it like a child. Said to the flames "You may be hot But I'm stronger than you I won't get caught." Sometimes the heat's too strong to ignore But it's how you fight that shows you more. Big Ron faced the fire didn't let it win Stronger than the flames burnin' within. That fire was big tried to take him down But Ron stood tall didn't wear a frown. He knew that battle was all in his head Fought the temptation put it to bed. It wasn't about the girl wasn't about the lust It was about his soul the one he could trust.
