Cross over A winding river Splits the land in two Dividing meandering Between me and you A current just too strong I doubt we would last long If we tried to step into The waters running loud A voice tries to cry out But nothing really breaks through All efforts were in vain But to live is to change So maybe we can try again Once we've walked the path alone Traveled through the highs and lows So at the river's end We might be different then The sighing waters Know something about you and me Though trying all our Attempts will see us disagree But in my heart of hearts I think that we could start We don't have to stay far apart Yes I truly believe There's a way for you and me To finally Cross over
