My therapist would say Let's try to have a good day But I can't ignore the problems we got Sometimes life don't work that way But if We ignore all our world's problems Then how will we begin to solve them Why does change seem far away The media hardly talks about people Talks about celebrities and tragedies 'bout as equal Constantly berating Always finding it frustrating How the world is always changing Into things that give them ratings I don't really care about Ye', Kim, or Pete I just care about the families that lost a kid this week I know it's not the same thing Two different mainstreams But it just kinda seems like everyday there's something "crazy" Brand new artists But still not progress No actual cure for the damn coronavirus In 37 schools All in different cities Mass shootings everywhere Are you people kidding? The world has problems, but don't care to solve them You care about Depp's case, but not the people starvin' I find it all embarrassing Palestinians perishing Earth's pollution is augmenting But what's goin' on with Megan and MGK My therapist would say Let's try to have a good day But I can't ignore the problems we got Sometimes life don't work that way But if We ignore all our world's problems Then how will we begin to solve them Why does change seem far away Black lives dyin' Broken homes One in 30 children are homeless without hope Forest fires, suicides, have had an uprise since 1999 And Ghana still ain't got water And Puerto Rico's lights still won't even bother Stop Asian Hate isn't even really brought up Lots of statutory rape, that the cops ain't even caught up People in section eight still haven't ate yet They accept gun violence, yet women must have kids People who's transgender get hate for what reasons Honestly it seems like everyday is the same thing There's no love here, it all seems hopeless So many kids died, and still unnoticed The whole world's soon doomed, but none will focus And I feel bad, so why should I ignore this Truth My therapist would say Let's try to have a good day But I can't ignore the problems we got Sometimes life don't work that way But if we ignore all our world's problems Then how will we begin to solve them Why does change seem far away Can you tell me, tell me, tell me why so far away Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me why so far away The world is changing' So when will we Why does everything seem so Far Away
