What Disappears

Lately I've had my blinders on I can't look at my reflection 'Cuz I know who I am And i know what looks like but i'm fine I'm hearing everyone I know say things will change Well yea, but not as catastrophically As they seem to believe 'Cuz you might finish what I started Or you might have your own thing It won't be something that i'm losing When i have to set you free No matter who you'll be I'll still be complete You made me complete And I'll do what I can To stay the same person I was when it started When the thought of you was new Now I can show you what it's like To be who you want to To lean into what will keep you free I guess my head's been underwater And I can't spin my own record 'Cuz I know what I said And i know what it sounds like but i'm fine From the day that you come home To the day you leave alone I might need a reminder now and then To just do what I can To be the right person To lead with intention To show you what it means To love with all you have But be ready to let go Whenever it's time
