I've been thinking about America My foot on the gas While I look down the road Cause I'm driving As the crow is flying My son is the passenger Singing to the radio Stare out the window waiting for a sign There's one up ahead Marks Arizona state line What's unspoken All this land we're on was stolen But I just follow the piper and stick to the plan So we paid for a ticket to see the Grand Canyon Cause it's something that you've got to see Pile out of the car and line up for a photo Cause that's how you make memories I'm not sure that I know what I'm trying to say I just know there's an eagle that's flying above me Reminding me how I am not really free Turn off the highway into an American town All those flags by the mailboxes Are standing their ground What do you believe in?
