The Phoenix

The sky is raining fire The winds of plague commence The seas, in half, divided The forests now ablaze The elder phoenix rises Spreading his wings open wide A scream of pain, he utters As he falls from the sky At dawn the ravens cry The moonlight shines so bright The fire turns to ice The phoenix lost its light On the ground he landed And with a blink of an eye He glanced into the sunset And gazed into the sky "Goodbye my dearest old friend May our souls meet again" With a voice like thunder he shouted And, into ash he turned At dawn the ravens cry The moonlight shines so bright The fire turns to ice The phoenix lost its light RISE!
