Lately I don't even know who I am And I've given it much thought and now I know That I've taken things for granted now I'm afraid Of losing everybody in my sense of myself Oh-oh-oh Stronger through the independence is how you should be by now And the pressure from others is wearing me out I don't even know at this point what you're asking of me Don't know how long I'll take it, don't know how long I'll lasts Oh-oh-oh My only weapons are pen and paper Even if my arms and legs make my body The sounds in my head I can still mutter and hum These wild emotions I can manage to taper When I'm comfortable crying to my own shoulder The tears lack words and sounds are the only thing going far enough With every fibre of my being Feeling like the floor is falling underneath me I take a stance and I bring the honestly I tried so hard to hide In order to find my true path I am to stop living through others' expectations As I've come to find Nothing will ever suffice others
