Grey, unending grey The barren landscape stretching every way The flame I carried has burned low The embers fade with every passing day My empty kingdom, once so full Neglected splendor marks my shame And now I wander on my own The cast down sovereign of decay I never thought it'd end this way But I have nothing left to say Across the void my soul is strewn And it'll all be over soon Grim eminence of failure Decrepit monuments of stone Eroded will, degraded mind The weight of time is crushing down I have retread these paths enough Give me an ending to this road In impotent affectation I press the dagger to my throat Time and again, I stay my hand The end I long for never comes To eternity, I am condemned To permanence, I have succumbed
