Are you ready, for your blessings I almost lost my mind through my addiction And anger issues like tell me what's the issue I was smoking all day , Procrastinating till the night I was really that high I couldn't plug in my mic I hadda take a step back and reevaluate myself Everyone around me, wasn't ever tryna help They fed into the world And they were caught up in the system A gang members mentality is tryna play the victim Like I grew up like that that's why I does it like that All my older cousins and my uncles like that And My homies all up in the back they ready to attack Yeah the hood got my back until I'm cuffed from my back And look its no disrespect it's just the walk I had changed Couple faces rearranged when I told em' bout my faith Christ died on the cross for our sins And God picked me out the mud where I was In, look Blessed me with my wife & my kids And I'm forever thankful coming how I lived, look It taught me valuable lessons on life and how it is Growing up I had bad influences as my friends Receiving these blessings My sins I'm repenting It's written in truth I follow the mission So yeah I'm forgiven My past ain't forgotten But surely I'm different Relieved of my burdens Now I am lifted This talent I'm gifted I speak what is real But is you getting the message, uh I speak what is real But is you getting the message Are you ready, for your blessings
