If you will not nurture your inner flame You will assuredly fall to the Darkness Darkness was not always known to man In the days of old, men's hearts were honest They remembered the light from which they came And revered the light within The Darkness was patient Waiting for man to let down his guard When the opportunity arose It crept in, one degree at a time Preying on man's inattention Now the Darkness grips the Earth Infused in every nation, woven in every culture And still it grows Some have fostered the Darkness so long They no longer recall the warmth of the light We are all exposed The Darkness haunts us, analyzing our weakness Calculating an attack It hunts the negligent, the rationalizing And the proud Do not let it in It will not hesitate to destroy you
