She was the first of her kind The one who would make men blind Given life by god of fire And she would bring on a pyre All gods gave Gifts and traits To this girl She was given the gift of grace and love And mastery over the spoken word A keen eye for the details of the world Curiosity's named Pandora The gods bestowed upon her A trait that could not be quenched Curiosity inside her would grow And the world would soon know All gods watched While she picked the lock And opened the Box that was never to be opened by her hand The contents spilled across the sea and land Now this world would be turned into a mess Curiosity's named Pandora
