A seraph preceded Crucified Mouth impaled The body Torn away BEHOLD Now an altar Where they anoint Its pendulous spine A blessing upon you O DEMON They welcome Bone chipping A crude blade BEHOLD Hooves discarded Emblems of a simpler fearful time See this O WITNESS The unbent knee Cut to form and size See this O WITNESS God and Satan Butchered Consumed Reduced to excrement Which stains their skin Monument assembled Impaling inert skulls Can't you hear Their chanting How pious our servitude At the altar All pray to reflections in their eyes Crowned heads forced down Dead eyes gaze down the widening path Humanity shall soon lament TRANSCENDENCE Dying eyes now fixed Upon the crescent moon Shrouded in true darkness Ancient evil a brilliant fading light What have we done WHAT HAVE WE DONE
