Climbing from a well From which the shadows reign Honor bound With conscience just and clarified Batting tired eyes To the welcoming sun On defense Still of remnant antagony The bite of ceaseless ache Would dare to concede So fairly prompting Analogy with firm suspicion Penance served Or grace of circumstance Palms outstretched To grasp at what is now Oracular sense proves true Countless instance Account for such conclusions Vindication clashing perplexity Thoughts suppressed To embrace affirming warmth I cannot help but wonder The validity of these raptures I pray it be not mere mirage Melting to it nonetheless How rampant The waves of this mind are Submerging In cold tides of bedlam Gasping for breath in the constance Grasping for life above the surface For once Calm these storms I want to feel Discernment still scouring I want to feel Skeptical retorts Just let me feel Oh how the trials obscured My once innocent hopeful insight While having dragged the stones Trying to soothe the rope burns From bindings tight Departing tribulation now Stretching up towards the canopy Soaking in the beams of light Pouring as gold Through verdant seams Here is where My principles were founded on Far from shallow artifice Shall I recall what's true again Will you still remember Will your heart of light still remain Treading through terrestria With grit and gnashing Against the pain Fear the path not O luminous one The immortal spark you are Cannot ever be undone Thus take shelter In the safety of affirmation
