Would you dare come searching for me In the wake of this affliction Not one bargain nor resolution Can sate these impish adversaries Who test my kindness And try my patience Toying with my conviction That aside, I'd expect nothing more Than to carry this weight alone At the gates of Cernunnos I stand accompanied by none But this solitude and the fantasy Of your hand in mine For the time being I dismiss these unattainable wishes Despite all rapture brought From such mutual courtship Alas, this storm of sorrow Is siphoned by the sway The dance of the pine Beckons me Lures me past this great divide On which I stand Now without any hesitation I tear away the tendrils Grasping at my thoughts and heart And seek return to my temple Of emerald and oak Resonating compassion that Liberates this aching Heeding to the whispers of the auras Wandering for hours on end My locks met with icy wind As cold as your absent caress Slowly now do I give way And settle in the embrace of the earth I contemplate these testaments Of unwavering devotion Echoing in my conscience An evanescent muse A prayer I utter unto This heathenous cathedral Of sky fading to dusk Of looming pine and oak Send unto me in due time An undeniable sign That what I hold dear shan't whither This passion I have nurtured so must bloom again I entertain the warm thought of traversing this wood With you by my side We'd rest beneath the shade and let the hours fly by You'd adore it just as I So in isolation I but dwell upon those nights long past I cherished the sincerity Surrounded by your warmth Empowered by this seemingly destined bond A spiraling dance of souls in unity Perhaps if I drift away in these oaken arms I'd wake in yours Or vanish to obscurity Until you, my beloved Appear to me again I decay in silence As my heart rests in the clutches of none Let me fade away And forfeit this anchorage All I await Is severance from this wicked longing Hidden neath these veils of sage Knowing I shan't feel your arms around me May the dusk come lay it's shroud Lulled into the deepest slumber Long into the night
