Eclipse of The Forsaken

When the moonlight falls And the sky turns black The death riders rise From their bones Born anew Eyes glow shades of emerald Emitting light Dim luminescence Their figures decrepit and decayed Shards of flesh fall Leaving nothing but ash Foreign to this ancient city of stone Sand as white as snow cloaked in black by their presence This is no longer my home They search for me Through the catacombs Hidden, far from their gaze I remain in the fetid crypts to no avail I hear the hoofs of their lichen steeds the sound grows stronger my only hope is to escape This unavoidable conflict An aura of darkness engulfs the tombs They desperately try to absorb me A light flickers and shows me the way Out into the moonlight Where their strength is withered I must face I must face my destiny
