Pooky's Prayer

My love is wild as the open air. It never tires. Blows me around everywhere. Forest fires. Leads me back to you in roundabout ways. Leads me right to your door. Once I protested & it let me astray. I don't protest anymore.  My love is burning deep & red. It's an ocean of wine. It boils over & out of my head. My love is blind.  My love is master. My love makes up rules. Who to curse & to bless. My love is master. My parts are her fools. She is her own happiness. You can pose your questions. You can pose your fears. She don't use arguments. She convinces just by being here. Her answer is her presence.  My love is blind. It's the animal kind without reason or rhyme always at war with my human side, my love is blind.   My love is blind to her unkindnesses. Sees what it wants to see. It has its own mind & its own mindlessness & it pays no mind to me. They say we are no good for each other. They say we never were. They say one thing; my love says another. What do they say it for? My love is blind.
