I wake up tangled in the sheets Cold embrace where you used to be Every breath feels heavy in my chest Memories playing on repeat Taking steps but I'm moving slow Lost in a world that I used to know Feels like I'm walking on broken glass Trying to find something that will last But I won't let the sadness define me I won't let the hurt confine me I'll pick up the pieces, find the strength within And mend these broken ribbons, stitch by stitch
